Did the democratic sweep, in this years election empower or sedate Black Syracusan's? Well, it won't be long before the honeymoon
is over for all of the new electees. The city has alot of pressing issues like the southside sewage treatment plant and budget
issues for the city and school district. We will see if the black community will feel the majorty of the pain and suffering when it's all said and done.

She will be performing at the Oneida Indian Nation's Turning Stone Casino Resort, and is schedule for the Dinner and a Show series on March 30, 2002.

West African Eye Foundation
The Syracuse group hopes to set up the first eye bank in West Africa, where more than 100 million people live. There are only 75 eye doctors for that population compared with 30 or 40 eye doctors for people in the Syracuse area alone.
